Adoption

While you want your baby to have a good life, we understand that right now may not be the best time for you to be a parent. When you choose adoption, you are giving your baby the gift of life and a chance to be cared for by a loving and nurturing family. There are many options available for you today when choosing adoption. At GMPC Medical, our trained client advocates will provide you the information you need and help connect you with a professional and caring adoption agency. These agencies will support you and help you make the best plan for you and your baby. Often times, adoption agencies can help with arranging prenatal care, transportation, food, housing and other reasonable living expenses.

Abortion

Abortion is the third option available. When you choose abortion, you are choosing to end your pregnancy and the life of your unborn baby. You will need to have an ultrasound to see how far along you are before choosing an abortion method. At GMPC Medical, our compassionate staff will share accurate information with you in order for you to make an informed decision about your pregnancy.

Safe Place for Newborns Act - State of Georgia

Under the Safe Place for Newborns Act, Georgia law gives criminal immunity to a mother who leaves her baby with an on-duty staff member or volunteer of a local medical facility, fire station, or police station, if the child is thirty days old or younger. The mother is not required to show proof of her identity or address. The Safe Place for Newborns Act is also know as the Georgia “Safe Haven Law.”
